From Estuary to Table: Robinson Preserve Guided Paddle

Hear from local conservationists and researchers about the restoration work happening at Robinson Preserve and how healthy coastal habitats support both wildlife and our local food system. Damon Moore with Oyster River Ecology will share the vision behind the Robinson Preserve Expansion restoration project and explore the importance of habitats such as mangroves and oyster reefs. Ryan Schlosser with Mote Marine Laboratory will discuss ongoing fisheries research at the site and how healthy coastal habitats support fish populations, local fisheries, and our community. Participants will also hear from representatives of Sunshine Community Harvest, Manatee County Natural Resources, and Big Waters Land Trust before heading out on the water to experience the restoration project firsthand.
