Big Waters Land Trust is a local non-profit that has been working to save land and water, from southern Tampa Bay to the Everglades, for the past 20 years. During this presentation, we’ll discuss the history of Big Waters, its programs, past and present initiatives, and ways for you to become a part of our conservation community. We’ll also take an in-depth look at the role of a Land Trust and the ways we can protect the special places that make a difference in our community – giving us clean water to drink, protected habitat for plants and animals, beautiful natural places to enjoy, great spots to hike and fish, and a world-class shoreline. This program is recommended for teens and adults. This is a lecture-style program that may not be suitable for small children. This program is provided in partnership with the Lee County Library System. No reservations are required for this free public program.
